险峰傲天湖藏美，
画船飞歌风作琴。
土家木楼倚栏女，
烟云细雨迎来人。
The Baofeng Lake in Zhangjiajie

Amidst the towering peaks，there is a heaven lake lying，
On its surface，all I could see are yachts moving about，
Accompanying with which is the gentle breeze
The about moving yachts is just like a flying song；
Leaning on parapet on the shore，
A Tu girl I see is gazing into the distant afar，
With clouds and drizzling around，
She is greeting us guests coming from distant afar！

何方大师弄丹青？
轻描重抹神来笔，
山水如画因天成。

With different postures，I could see grotesque mountain peaks，
Tower high into the sky，and under the last ray of setting sun.
But from where does the real Master come
And for what purpose He makes such magnificent scene？
Under the magicpen，he makes the scene such romantic charm！
Oh！that picturesque view of the scene is indeed the Nature done.

At side of the Daming Lakes tands high of green willow trees，
The Juantu Spring has no water but still enjoys high fame；
To regenerate the Spring City and meet with the new Sun，
Let's start up and enjoy the development made in Qilu town；
By drafting a blueprint for the year 2020，
Now let us together reconstruct the land and thrive the region；
The River and the mountains here make a picture，
What a host of heroes once emerged in the area of QiLu？
Now that we set sails together，
And earnestly we then await the coming of a spring dawn.
济南

大明湖岸柳青青，
趵突无水却有名。
重振泉城迎朝阳，
承平齐鲁牵海虹。
运绘天地二零年，
收拾山河四百平。
自古山东多豪杰，
扬帆启航赶春晨。
注：2003年7月末，赴山东签署《鲁宁供电协议书》，并考察了济南、寿光、烟台、青岛市工业化、城市化、农业产业化进展情况，感触颇多，以诗记之。
Qingdao Shandong
August 4，2003
Between the skies and seas，it is waters of the Jiaozhou Bay
That the great ships are plowing away；
By following calligrapher Fan Zeng's footsteps，
I may ascend and view the scenery of the Mount Lao；
Or I could visit the Industrial Park of Electronics，
A hi-tech centre called Huang Dao；
Witnessing the new advance wave added to history of glory，
I fore see a better city with brighter future in new century.
青岛

天海混沌远洋船，
北风不渡胶州湾。①
崂山九水范曾书，②
黄岛园区论家电。③
尔来百年城建史，④
只付荣辱青史间。
紧挽发展作潮涌，
巨力千丈上彼岸。
注：①北风不渡：青岛市位于山东半岛南端，冬天，北方吹过来的寒风被陆地阻挡；夏天，南风从海上习习吹来，比较凉爽，所以青岛市冬暖夏凉。
②九水：崂山之上有“九水十八潭”之说，画家范曾为其题词命名。
③论家电：青岛市黄岛工业园区集中了海尔、海信、澳柯玛等家电巨子，成为青岛市主导产业。
④百年城建史：青岛建市一百余年，清末为德国人所侵占。最多时曾有24个国家在此设领事馆。
交河故城①
（2003年9月15日）
曾经人强马儿壮，羌笛羯鼓弯刀寒。
驼铃声远没黄昏，高崖土墙交河湾。
而今人去城空毁，黄沙漫漫掩残垣。
当年高昌何处寻？考古书中续新篇。
注：①交河故城：位于新疆维吾尔自治区吐鲁番市西十公里。
The Jiaohe Old Town
September 15，2003
In the past decades，here both the men and horses were strong，
So prosperous it is，and I seem to hear Qiang's flutes till sound，
With fierce battle still going on；
Before the dusk，and coming from distant afar，
Is the pleasant sound of camels'gong，
At the Jiaohe River Bay，there a high earth-wall stands still.
Now people are found gone and only left is abandoned town，
In the sands accumulated years by，
Still I could perceive is the ruins of the aged City Wall；
Oh，where's the then prosperous Gaochang Empire gone？
Let's read the new chapter found in the archeological records.
The Kanas Lake
September 18，2003
Over the snow-capped peaks are clear skies，cloudless，
It zigzags all the way to the Alpine，wilderness；
Form the blue lake in the shape of a finger，
Where legendary fish swims in the autumn colour；
At the lake side life continues in yurts，
With locals grazing of the herds；
Placing myself in the Altai's beautiful nature reserve，
Is just like nowhere else in the universe that I live.
喀纳斯湖

翠湖霁色秀，
雪峰两岸秋。
六曲群山抱，
大浪神鱼游。①
毡房透青烟，
草地牧羊牛。
放眼阿勒泰，②
玉宇净土厚。
注：①神鱼：喀纳斯湖中生长着一种食肉大红鱼，可长到一米多长，当地有神鱼之说。
②喀纳斯湖位于新疆阿勒泰地区布尔津县内，长24公里，最大水深146米，周围群山环抱，山上尚存一些稀疏的原始森林，景色酷似欧洲山水。
西行诗记
（2003年10月8日）
2003年国庆假日，乘汽车从银川出发，沿戈壁沙漠西行，途经阿拉善左旗、额济纳旗、酒泉、张掖、武威，终点站敦煌。沿途所见所闻，以诗记之。
驱车六千里，
骄阳伴戈壁，
厚土广无垠，
黄天雨水稀。
胡杨叶秋黄，
昏晓忙影迷，①
翰海边垂地，
游客如云集。
登临黑水城，
思寻古人遗，
古人复何在？
黄沙白骨弃。
航城发神箭，②
载人游寰宇，
嫦娥迎远客，
飞天我扬眉。
雄关扼险道，③
声远驼铃去，
猛士出阳关，
忠烈身后议。
凉州卧佛寺，④
昊王立石壁，
石壁字两面，
方解学者谜。
月泉沙山影，⑤
浅草日阴移，
神驰南山凸，
石窟拜天女。⑥
注：①昏晓：傍晚和清晨。
②位于额济纳旗的航天城，即将发射载人宇宙飞船，实现中华民族飞天梦想。基地领导格外关照，允许我们参观正准备载人发射的飞船。
③雄关：嘉峪关。
④凉州：甘肃省武威市，曾是西夏国重地。现藏于武威博物馆的凉州碑，是重要的西夏文物，此碑全称“凉州重修护国寺感应塔碑”，其两面刻有文字，一面为汉字，一面为西夏文，内容相同，据此，专家学者才得以破解西夏文。
⑤月泉：敦煌月牙泉。
⑥天女：敦煌石窟飞天女。
