On June 2， 1953， Queen Elizabeth received the formal coronation. The operators of the Treetops Hotel took the opportunity to glorify themselves and advertised widely the story of Elizabeth. They also carved inions on the top platform for visitors to take pictures. The Treetops Hotel in Kenya was famous for the story of “On the tree is Princess ， Under the tree is Queen”.

The Funny Sightseeing Places 别有情趣的赏景地点
Aberdare National Park is an area of about 400 square kilometers， with the altitude of about 1，200 meters. In other wildlife parks， people can usually watch the animals roaming around by car. But the Aberdare is a perilous wilderness， with wild animals coming and going. Therefore， once you stay in the Treetops Hotel， you can not jump down and stay above to view the animals. Visitors are received generally by the hotel car about 200 meters away from the hotel. Then they enter the hotel through a special channel with escort of the armed staffs.
For the need of protecting environment and preventing fire ， it isn’t allowed to light a fire. All foods are prepared in the reception center and sent to the hotel， then be heated by a microwave.
In the Treetops Hotel， in addition to viewing animal， there is a special show. At night， the hotel turns on the dedicated searchlight to illuminate an open space where is the left side of downstairs and begins the performance of“feeding elephant salt”. The staffs sprinkle the salt on the ground， where dozens of elephants are waiting to scramble the salt with trunk， rolling salt up from the ground and putting it into the mouth. The process repeats constantly until all the salt disappears. Then the elephants arch the ground reluctantly and refuse to leave. This is the traditional performances that the hotel has maintained for many years.
阿巴尔德拉野生动物园海拔约1，200米，面积约400平方公里。在其他野生动物园，人们通常可以开着车到处漫游观赏动物。而阿巴尔德拉是荒野，野兽出没，危机四伏。所以，一旦上了树顶旅馆，就不能随便下来，只能呆在上面观赏动物。游客一般由旅馆专车接到距离旅馆约200米处，游客在几位持枪工作人员的护卫下，经过专门通道走进旅馆。
出于保护生态环境及防火的需要，旅馆从不生烟火，所有食品均在接待站做好后运来，然后用微波炉加热。
在树顶旅馆观景除了看动物，还有一项特别的表演。夜晚，旅馆打开专用的探照灯照亮楼下左边的一块空地，开始表演“给大象喂食盐”。工作人员把盐洒在地上，在那里等待的几十头大象争先恐后地用长鼻子将盐从地上卷起，送入嘴里，如此不停地重复着，地上的盐都吃光了，大象还依依不舍地用鼻子拱着地面，不愿离去。这是旅馆保持很多年的传统表演项目。

The most famous tourism project of the Treetops hotel is to enjoy wildlife. The animals here are mainly buffalo， elephants， wild boars and other herbivores. But when you stay in the Treetops Hotel， you can find that it attracts tourists not only by animals but also by the casual atmosphere in many nuances.
There are more than 50 guest books in the glass cabinet at the corner of the hall on the third layer. The books are filled with the feeling of the tourists and the situation of observing animals from 1952 to the present. In addition to this books， the hotel has collected a few newspaper clippings and a lot of historical photographs. Visitors can learn a lot of anecdotes and celebrity journeys about the hotel. If you are tired of seeing animals， you could read these past comments， feeling like into a time tunnel. At same time， you can write your own message as a part of history.
Most vacationers are from different countries and the hotel staffs understand simple terms of several languages. At dinner time， visitors sit on long wooden tables covered with white tablecloths to enjoy authentic western food.
